Michael is a disputes lawyer specializing in arbitration. In particular, construction arbitrations.
Prior to joining Margie Strub Construction Law LLP, Michael worked at several international law firms across the Middle East as well as in Japan, where he represented clients in arbitrations. Michael has experience with disputes relating to desalination plants, power plants, infrastructure projects, as well as numerous small to large construction projects, including a football stadium for the Qatar world cup and several arbitrations related to the installation of the sewerage network in Muscat, Oman and arbitrations relating to the construction of hotels in Dubai.
In addition to his construction experience, Michael has acted in commercial arbitrations related to telecommunications, defense, and pharmaceuticals.
Michael has acted in arbitrations under most sets of arbitral rules including: the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA), Dubai International Arbitration Centre (DIAC), DIFC-LCIA, Abu Dhabi Commercial Conciliation and Arbitration Centre (ADCCAC), Qatar International Center for Conciliation and Arbitration (QICCA) and in ad hoc arbitrations.
Prior to working in private practice, Michael was counsel in an arbitration center and has an in-depth knowledge of institutional arbitration.
