
Jacob brings exceptional promise to our firm as an Associate. Having successfully completed his articles and two summers at Margie Strub, Jacob has gained invaluable experience working on complex construction contracts and disputes. Jacob has assisted on a range of matters, including drafting and negotiating standard-form and bespoke agreements for owners, consultants, contractors, and subcontractors, as well as resolving disputes on light rail transit and other major infrastructure projects.
A graduate of the University of Toronto, Faculty of Law, Jacob stands out with his award-winning academic achievements, receiving the Davies Ward Phillips & Vineberg LLP Prize for his class-standing in contracts, and placing 1st in the Atrium Essay Contest for his work on construction law.
Jacob takes a business-focused approach to solving legal issues, and is excited to leverage his experience working on complex construction matters to offer clients high-quality, practical legal advice.
Outside the office, you can find Jacob carving the slopes or cycling the back roads. Jacob’s passion for construction law, academic excellence, and adventurous spirit make him a valuable addition to our firm.

- Light Rail Transit: Advised civil joint ventures throughout project execution, including on
upstream and subcontractor claims. - Represented owners, contractors, and subcontractors in complex construction disputes
involving delay claims, discrete impact analysis, and damages quantification across
various sectors.
- Subway Line: Prepared custom subcontract forms for a civil joint venture delivering a
major urban subway project. - Residential Development: Drafted and negotiated bespoke contracts and supplementary
conditions to CCDC contracts for owners and developers to address project-specific risks
and volatile market conditions. - Energy & Infrastructure: Negotiated a master services agreement for the supply and
installation of EV charging stations across Ontario. - Provided ongoing strategic advice to project stakeholders during design and
construction phases to mitigate risk and preserve entitlements under various contract
models.
