Paralegal and Law Clerk

D. 647-933-1479

Justyne_Escujuri

Justyne is a licensed paralegal and law clerk with a strong foundation in both the legal
and construction industries. She has experience supporting complex construction
litigation, arbitration, and adjudication matters, with expertise in lien registration, pleading
and motion drafting, e-discovery, appellate procedures, and trial preparation.

Justyne is authorized to provide legal services in matters before the Small Claims Court,
including claims involving breach of contract, construction disputes, and unpaid invoices.
She also has experience with adjudications under Ontario’s prompt payment and
adjudication regime through ODACC.

Prior to joining Margie Strub Construction Law LLP, Justyne worked as a law clerk at a
mid-sized construction law firm in Toronto and at a boutique litigation firm specializing in
trial and appellate advocacy.

Justyne’s legal experience is complemented by a background in contract and project
administration, having worked in-house for a general contractor. In that role, she was
actively involved in procurement, project delivery, change management, bonding and
insurance coordination, RFIs, and compliance with municipal requirements.

She has supported both private and public infrastructure projects, including concrete restoration
and structural rehabilitation work. She brings additional value to clients and counsel
through her proficiency with eDiscovery platforms, markup software, and project
management systems. These technical skills support efficient document review,
production, and case organization—particularly in large-scale files involving complex
construction documentation and timelines.

Her hybrid legal and construction experience allows her to effectively bridge
communication between legal teams, consultants, and site personnel, providing practical
insight and strategic support across all phases of dispute resolution.
